Clean peppers. Cut vegi chicken steaks, smoked tofu and bell peppers into 1” pieces.
Deep fry (or pan fry) smoked tofu and vegi chicken steaks. Optional: deep fry peppers and immediately place them in cold water to keep them crisp.
In a heated wok add oil, ginger, black bean paste, chili paste, soy sauce, mushroom seasoning and sugar. Stir until fragrant. Add tofu and vegi chicken steak. Stir until coated with sauce. Add red and green pepper. Stir and serve.
