Cut seasoned tofu and vegetarian ham into small cubes. In light oil, stir fry separately vegetarian tofu paste, vegetarian ham and seasoned tofu. Season with soy sauce, salt, sugar, mushroom seasoning, five spice and star anise. Set aside.
Heat oil and add ginger, soy sauce and star anise. Stir until fragrant. Add water, satay BBQ sauce, rock candy, and radix glycyrrhizae (herb). Add seasoned tofu, vegetarian ham and tofu paste. Allow to simmer until the flavor seeps in and the liquid cooks down. Add xiang chun (herb, see last picture). Serve.
